Beberapa hari lalu saya ketemu sama teman saya yang tanyain: “blog kamu kok nggak pernah diupdate?” Sorry folks! Aku memang sekarang sangat konsentrasi ke blog-blog-ku yang lain yang menghasilkan duit dari adsense 
Maklumlah, kan kita butuh duit buat bayar tagihan…
Sekarang, aku pengen berbagi tentang widget, sebelumnya, lihatin deh bentuk desktop komputerku:
Lumayan kan, banyak hiasannya. Itu namanya widget. Komputermu pakai widget? Jika belum, aku sarankan pakai. Karena, tampilannya bagus sekali, membuat komputer kita mirip dengan Apple Macintosh (saya suka banget terutama karena pengen beli Apple MacBook belum kesampaian )
Widget engine bisa didonload secara gratis di http://widget.yahoo.com
Bagi yang belum tau apa itu widget, itu dari kata “gadget” alias alat/tools, sebuah program yang kecil. Alat apaan? Banyak. Mulai dari sekedar yang tidak serius seperti game, tamagotchi, sampai ke jam manual, digital, pencatat schedule harian, sampai ke hal serius seperti pemantau network bandwith.
Trus serunya, widget ini bisa diatur floating di desktop atau “always on top” trus bisa digeser-geser kayak windows, bisa juga diatur opacity-nya.
Ini beberapa contoh yang saya pakai:
Ini Shortcut Lazy Launcher, saya memang penggemar shortcut di desktop, tapi nggak mau desktopnya penuh, nah widget ini cocok banget buat saya. Pokoknya Gw Banget Deh!
Ini untuk mencari thesaurus dan kamus (Thesaurus-Dictionary). Terutama karena saya masih belum begitu ahli bahasa Inggris
Ini buat ngelihat climate di daerah kita, nggak begitu berguna sih, tapi, lumayan buat hiasan desktop, he he he..
Ini namanya PowerXP. Gunanya? Untuk matiin komputer, restart, lock sama log-off. Dengan widget ini, kita nggak perlu repot klik Start-Turn Off terus klik sekali lagi tombol Turn Off. Praktis kan?
Dan, ini dia nih, jam Bahasa Indonesia (dan jam manual, bawaan standar dari YahooWidget), nama widget ini: “International Clock”, saya udah minta sama yang buat widget ini (om Fred Botton dari Prancis) supaya ada bahasa Indonesianya. Dan dia berbaik hati mau bikinin versi bahasa kita tercinta ini. Cari aja widget ini dengan keyword “International Clock”, pasti ketemu. Widget inilah yang aku set ke “always on top”, karena, selain simple banget, gunanya juga ada.
