Setelah kegiatan rutin menginstall windows (benar, ini rutin, katanya kalau nggak mau nginstall terus-terusan pakai aja linux atau mac), ada yang aneh dengan Yahoo Messenger punya saya (yang juga baru diinstall). Setiap kali ada yang sharing link di chat atau di status seseorang, dan kita klik, hasil halamannya akan ditampilkan di IE. Uuurggghh….
Saya hanya pakai IE untuk 2 tujuan, yaitu:
1. Mendownload Firefox
2. Mendownload Update Windows
Sehari-hari saya pakai browser yang bukan IE, kebanyakan sih pakai FF, terus Opera, terus Safari (untuk baca-baca majalah gratisan edisi terkini macam PCmag, Esquire dll, kapan-kapan saya kasitau caranya ya…)
Nah, begini cara ngefix biar YM kita tetep buka di FF:
- Pastikan FireFox menjadi browser utama anda (Jika belum, buka FF dan biasanya akan ditanyakan hal ini, pilih ya)
- Buka Yahoo Messenger dan login
- Dari menu Messenger, pilih Preferences
- Dari General tab, uncheck “Open web links in a new browser window“
Setelah itu, kalau kita klik link dari dalam YM, halaman webnya bisa langsung terbuka di Firefox.

Udah gw coba bos, kalau sekedar jadiin default browser kurang, nggak cukup sakti
waaa… punyaku udah set begini.. (hehe.. tapi ini kebetulan dink… bukan karena kusengaja set begini.. hehe…—> masak sih kalo kusengaja..emangnya udah heat bener saya??? kekekekke)
abis downgrade YM tadi, setingan jd buka di IE trs pdhal default browser so pasti FF
