Perkembangan ilmu internet di Indonesia saat ini lagi seru-serunya! Khususnya berkaitan dengan SEO yang bertujuan untuk mendominasi mesin pencari atau search engine di internet. Semuanya berawal dari obrolan iseng para anggota forum adsense-id yang pengen adu kesaktian menempati posisi teratas di Google, Yahoo dan MSN untuk keyword NgaduTrafik 2007.
Kenapa keywordnya aneh gitu? Jangan cari artinya dimanapun juga. Nggak bakalan ada. Kemungkinan itu ada hubungannya dengan semangat SEO yang tujuannya memang ngadu trafik atau menambah jumlah trafik yang datang ke situs kita. Itu tujuan kita bikin situs kan?
Keyword itu dipilih karena belum ada hasil pencarian di SE dengan keyword “ngadutrafik 2007” pada saat lomba dimulai. Pada saat anda baca artikel ini sih mestinya udah ada hasil pencarian untuk keyword itu..
Awalnya saya kurang tertarik untuk ikutan kontes ini, bukan apa-apa, sayanya yang kurang ahli masalah SEO. Setelah dipikir-pikir, apa salahnya dicoba. Sekalian ngetes kemampuan saya. Saya sendiri ikutan bukan untuk menjadi nomor satu atau apalah.. Masih banyak para guru digital yang jauh lebih mumpuni daripada seorang saya. 
Awalnya kontes ini untuk iseng-isengan tanpa ada hadiah-hadiahan. Lama kelamaan ternyata ada yang mau mendanai hadiah. Nggak terlalu besar hadiahnya, tapi cukup untuk memacu adrenalin para peserta yang ikutan. Saya? Nggak terlalu berharap banyak dari lomba ini. Tau diri lah.. 
Saya ikutan bukan untuk pertandingannya, apalagi hadiahnya. Saya ikutan hanya supaya bisa belajar SEO lebih baik lagi.
Jika anda berminat untuk ikutan tinggal daftar aja disini, sekalian lihat peraturannya. Kali ini lombanya agak susah dikit, karena kudu pakai blog wordpress.com yang masih baru, belum pernah terindex di SE. Ayo ikutan.
Update:
Saat ini wordpress.com sudah mensuspend akun blog dengan keyword ngadutrafik 2007 atau semacamnya. Peraturan lombapun banyak berubah, antara lain boleh pakai cms apapun. Kemudian deadline juga diundur menjadi Akhir Juli (lama amat). Kalau gini, jadi nggak ikutan ngadutrafik 2007 .
